Building a facility from the ground up is a lot of work! We’ve been working closely with our contractors, John Hopper and Roger Bailey, and the amazing folks at Vaughan Associates Architects and Surveying Services to make help our vision become a reality. We have the elevations, site plans, and architectural drawings completed and will be applying for permits next week.
Once we get a driveway permit from TDOT, we will begin dirt work and gravel installation. The gravel drives will be used for construction traffic while we build The Ledge and will be converted to pavement when we install the permanent driveways and parking lot.
A big “thank you” to Eddie and Mary Bowen, the Fly Away Home Board of Directors, and all of the other people working so hard to get The Ledge built. I, for one, am extremely grateful that we have such an amazing team working on this. Onward!
